HT4U Hits Exceptional Read Speeds with MasterDrive MX
Today we see the first consumer SSD, with a fast controller combined with all the benefits of a previously very expensive SLC-based SSD. The write performance is at the same level as a normal hard drive, but the read speed, which is more important in every day use for consumer drives, is far higher. We reached about 30 MB/s and 110 MB/s write and read speeds, which is pretty close to the rated max values of 40 MB/s write and 120 MB/s read.

And, of course, in access times the SSD will always shine. And the additional benefits of SSDs - no mechanical parts, little heat, no noise and very good power consumption.
